For more than four decades, women have walked through our doors in Hancock carrying different questions.

Am I pregnant? How far along am I? How can I do this?

Life Outreach Center exists so no woman has to face those questions alone. Since 1981, we have offered women and families throughout the Copper Country a safe place to talk, find accurate information, and receive practical help without cost or pressure.

Our Mission

Life Outreach Center is a faith-based pregnancy center committed to serving women and families throughout the Copper Country with free, confidential, life-affirming care. Through pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, parenting and fatherhood education, post-abortion support, and practical resources, we provide support that begins with a woman’s first questions and continues through pregnancy and early parenthood.

We envision a Copper Country where every woman knows support is available, every family can find meaningful help, and every life is welcomed and valued.

Growing With Our Community

What began as a place to talk and find resources reached a new milestone in 2020, when Life Outreach Center began providing limited ultrasounds under the direction of a licensed physician. For many parents, seeing that first image makes a pregnancy no longer feel distant or abstract.

Today, our services include pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, Earn While You Learn parenting education, fatherhood courses, birthing and breastfeeding classes, post-abortion support, and practical resources for parents and babies.

Our location also places us minutes from Michigan Tech. Many students are living far from home, some thousands of miles from family. When an unexpected pregnancy changes the semester they thought they would have, knowing there is a trusted place nearby matters.

The People Behind Our Work

Our medical director oversees ultrasound services, our nurse manager supports on-site medical services, and trained volunteer mentors and advocates listen, encourage, and connect clients with practical help.

This Work Continues With You

This work extends far beyond our staff and volunteers. Individuals, churches, and businesses sustain it through their generosity, prayer, and involvement. Because they choose to stand with Life Outreach Center, the next woman who reaches out will find someone ready to listen and help.
